### Does audio leave my Mac?

No. Transcription and summaries run on-device.

### Will people see the transcript if I share my screen?

No. ctrlhq hides itself from screen sharing, recordings and screenshots, so it's visible only to you. It's on by default; turn it off in Settings › General.

### Which languages can it transcribe?

Every language Apple's on-device speech recognition supports on your Mac. If a language isn't installed yet, ctrlhq offers the one-time download from Apple. Audio still never leaves your Mac.

### Should I tell people I'm transcribing?

Yes. Laws differ by place, and it's polite. Let others know before you start.
