    Copies that share their storage on APFS free nothing when deleted, so ctrlhq marks them and leaves them out of the total.

    Two names for the same file aren't counted as a duplicate.

  • Choose a minimum size

    Only look at files over 100 KB, 1 MB, 10 MB or 100 MB.

  • Your files, not app data

    ctrlhq skips ~/Library, app bundles, node_modules and hidden folders, where copies are there on purpose.

The oldest one, by creation date. You can see every copy and change what's staged before anything moves.

Are duplicates deleted?

They're moved to the Trash, so you can drag them back out if you need to.
